The Intelligence Bureau (IB) under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has officially released the IB MTS Admit Card 2026 for the recruitment of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts. Candidates who registered for the examination can now download their hall ticket from the official website by logging in with their application credentials.

The admit card is a mandatory document for appearing in the examination. It includes important information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam date, reporting time, and exam center details.

IB MTS Exam Date 2026

As per the official schedule, the IB MTS Tier-1 Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted on 27 January 2026. The admit card was made available for download on 24 January 2026, while the exam city intimation slip was released earlier on 08 January 2026.

IB MTS Vacancy Details

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 362 Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) posts across various Intelligence Bureau offices in India.

Eligibility Criteria for IB MTS Recruitment

To be eligible for the IB MTS examination, candidates must have passed Class 10 (Matriculation) from a recognized board.

The age limit for applicants is 18 to 25 years as of 14 December 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved category candidates as per government rules.

Application Fee Details

Candidates were required to pay the following application fees during the registration process:

• General / OBC / EWS Candidates: ₹650

• SC / ST / All Female Candidates: ₹550

The fee could be paid through online payment modes such as debit card, credit card, or net banking.

IB MTS Exam Pattern 2026

The Tier-1 examination will be conducted in online (CBT) mode. The test consists of 100 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 100 marks, with a duration of 60 minutes.

There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

• General Awareness – 40 Questions

• Quantitative Aptitude – 20 Questions

• Reasoning & Analytical Ability – 20 Questions

• English Language – 20 Questions

Important Instructions for Exam Day

Candidates must carry a printed copy of the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, or Driving License.

Applicants are advised to reach the exam center well before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. Electronic items like mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or Bluetooth devices are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
