Nissan Gravite: Affordable 7-Seater MPV Coming Soon to India

Car manufacturer Nissan is preparing for a comeback in the Indian market with the launch of the Nissan Gravite, a new 7-seater MPV, expected in early 2026. The vehicle has been designed keeping the needs of Indian families in mind and is a key part of Nissan’s new product strategy.

Launch Date and Availability

The official unveiling of the Gravite MPV is expected in January 2026, with deliveries likely to begin by March 2026. This marks Nissan’s renewed effort to establish a strong presence in India’s MPV segment.

Design and Platform

The Gravite is a B-segment 7-seater MPV based on the Renault Triber platform, but Nissan will incorporate distinctive design elements and styling to maintain its unique identity. Features may include Nissan’s signature C-shaped front grille, modern LED DRLs, a new bumper, and stylish rear tail-lights, differentiating it from the Triber.

Interior and Features

Gravite will feature a modular and flexible seating layout, offering space for 7 passengers along with cargo versatility. It is expected to include a touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology, and advanced safety features like airbags, ABS, and a rear parking camera.

Engine Options

The Nissan Gravite is likely to be powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine, available with both manual and AMT transmission options. The engine is designed to deliver efficient performance in both city and highway conditions.

Price and Competition

While official prices have not been announced, industry experts estimate the Gravite’s price to be in the range of ₹6 lakh to ₹10 lakh (ex-showroom). It will primarily compete with vehicles like the Renault Triber, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, and Kia Carens.

The Nissan Gravite is set to be a practical and affordable 7-seater MPV for Indian families. Its launch will help Nissan expand its footprint and strengthen its presence in India’s growing MPV segment.
