Monday Box Office Report: Which Films Won the Weekday Test?
The Monday box office of mid-February turned out to be quite interesting, with new releases competing strongly against films that have been running in theatres for weeks. Among all, O Romeo stayed in the spotlight, while other films tried to hold their ground at the ticket window.
O Romeo Shows Strong Hold at the Box Office
Starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri, O Romeo has maintained a solid performance since its release.
The film opened with ₹8.5 crore on Day 1 and saw a big jump on Day 2 with ₹12.65 crore. Although collections dipped slightly on Day 3, the film still managed to earn ₹4.75 crore on Day 4 (Monday, 16 February).
The total collection of the film now stands at approximately ₹34.90 crore, keeping it in a strong position at the box office.
Tu Ya Main Struggles to Gain Momentum
The survival thriller Tu Ya Main, featuring Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gourav, has not been able to attract large audiences.
The film had a slow start and continued to struggle over the weekend. On its fourth day (Monday), it collected only ₹45 lakh, taking its four-day total to around ₹3.28 crore.
Border 2 Continues Its Long Box Office Run
War drama sequel Border 2, starring Sunny Deol, continues to perform steadily despite new releases.
On its fourth Monday (Day 25), the film collected ₹60 lakh. The total box office collection has now reached an impressive ₹322.45 crore.
Mardaani 3 Maintains Stable Performance
Mardaani 3, led by Rani Mukerji, continues to show consistency at the box office.
The film earned ₹50 lakh on its third Monday and has now collected around ₹44.75 crore in total.
With Love Shows Slow but Steady Growth
Romantic drama With Love, directed by R. Madhavan and starring Anaswara Rajan, is showing gradual growth.
The film has collected about ₹20.44 crore in 11 days and earned nearly ₹54 lakh on its second Monday.
Final Verdict
O Romeo clearly dominated the Monday box office, while Border 2 continues to benefit from its long theatrical run. Mardaani 3 is showing stable performance, With Love is slowly improving, and Tu Ya Main is facing a tough time at the box office.
