Shakti Samvad 2026: Women Empowerment Echoes on Stage, CM Rekha Gupta Emphasizes Key Initiatives

In Delhi, the National Commission for Women (NCW) hosted ‘Shakti Samvad 2026’, a program focused on women’s empowerment and leadership. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended the event and joined NCW Chairperson Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar to discuss ways to amplify women’s voices and develop more effective systems for their welfare.

During the event, the book “Safarnama” was launched, and winners of an online poster-making competition were felicitated. The initiative aims to provide a platform for women to share experiences, learn from one another, and strengthen supportive mechanisms to promote empowerment.

CM Rekha Gupta appreciated this initiative, stating that representatives from state women’s commissions across the country play a vital role in amplifying women’s voices, securing their rights, and promoting their progress. She highlighted that Delhi is committed to ensuring a safe environment, better facilities, and opportunities for women to realize their aspirations.

Significance of Shakti Samvad

The Shakti Samvad program serves as a platform for women to share experiences and gain knowledge. Such dialogues foster confidence and trust, strengthen coordination among women, and pave the way for substantial progress in women’s empowerment.

Social Media Reactions

The program also drew varied responses on social media. One user commented:

“How much false publicity will the minister give? The pensions for 21,000 elderly and widows have not been provided even after the month ended.”

Another user wrote:

“Madam, after the UC incident when your community was on the streets, how will you face the public after spending a week in a coma? First, tell us if your health is okay.”

Overall, Shakti Samvad 2026 provided a meaningful platform for women to share experiences, learn, and take steps toward empowered leadership.
