Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi Considered More Powerful Than Donald Trump: Analyst Ian Bremmer

At the recent World Economic Forum (Davos), American political analyst Ian Bremmer stated that Donald Trump is not the most powerful leader in the world today. According to him, China’s President Xi Jinping and India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi hold more influential positions in several ways.

Basis of Leadership Comparison

Bremmer’s analysis highlights that while the United States remains the world’s largest economy, the President of the country cannot automatically be considered the most powerful leader globally. Trump often makes headlines in the media, but in terms of real global influence, Xi Jinping is ahead. This is mainly because Xi does not face challenges like midterm elections or an independent judiciary, which can limit the powers of leaders in democratic countries.

Narendra Modi’s Strong Position

Bremmer also noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds a stable and influential position. His long tenure in office allows him to implement policies effectively. India’s economic growth, geopolitical influence, and rising prominence on international platforms further strengthen Modi’s leadership globally.

Challenges Faced by Trump

According to Bremmer, Trump has faced multiple challenges in recent years, including domestic and international criticism, political instability, and policy controversies. These issues have raised questions about his global leadership effectiveness. In contrast, Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi have more opportunity to implement long-term strategies and see the results of their policies.

Global Political Landscape

Experts suggest that the global political environment is shifting away from the dominance of any single leader or country. The world is moving towards a multipolar system, where power is distributed across multiple nations. Key powers like China, India, and the United States are redefining their strategic positions on the global stage.

According to Ian Bremmer, in today’s global leadership structure, Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi are seen as more stable and influential than Donald Trump. Their long tenure, ability to implement policies consistently, and strategic influence make them powerful figures on the international stage.
